Bodhi is a nine month old cattledog, but not the type you are probably thinking. He is a cao de fila de Sao Miguel cattledog, though potentially mixed. He weighs about 50 lbs, is brindle and has the traditional cropped ears and docked tail. We've had Bodhi since he was a wee puppy, and he was basically unhandled when he came. It has been a slow process working with him, and he will always be a shy dog. He is slow to warm up to strangers, but shows social attraction to them. In his foster home, Bodhi is making slow and steady progress gaining confidence. He is very smart and extremely trainable, being highly motivated by food and play. Bodhi has learned all his basic obedience, is crate trained and likes to go for rides in the truck. He enjoys hiking a great deal. Bodhi needs an experienced home that can continue his training and socialization. He's very sweet and has learned to like attention from the people he trusts. Bodhi is a very active dog and can be destructive if not given proper exercise. Bodhi can be pushy with other dogs. Please research his breed if you are interested in taking on a challenge!
